In the first quarter of 2024, the top five food and drink apps in Ghana showcased various performance trends across downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data provided by Sensor Tower:

Zomato: Food Delivery & Dining experienced fluctuating download numbers throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads peaked at approximately 34.5K in the first week of January but saw a significant drop to around 800 by the end of March. In terms of active users, the app maintained a fairly stable user base, starting at 428K in the beginning and ending at 425K.

Swiggy: Food Instamart Dineout also exhibited varied download trends. Downloads reached about 18.5K during the week of January 29 but declined to around 490 by the last week of March. Active users for Swiggy started at 136K and saw a gradual decline, ending the quarter at approximately 116K.

Bolt Food: Delivery & Takeaway’s download numbers remained relatively consistent, with a peak of 4.7K in early March. Active users showed minor fluctuations, starting at 79K and ending at around 67K.

Blinkit: Grocery in 10 minutes saw its highest downloads in the week of January 29, reaching nearly 13.8K, before dropping to approximately 390 by the end of March. The app’s active users started at 56K and increased to 67K by the end of January, before settling at around 54K by the end of the quarter.

foodpanda: food & groceries had notable download activity, peaking at 12K in mid-January. Active users showed a steady pattern, starting at 92K and ending at 90K by the quarter's end.
